An Eventful Week

This week everyone was still recovering from "Snowmageddon 2010" and so Chris has a two hour delay all week, traffic was ridiculous, and we still spent most of the time inside.

Owen is getting better at using the potty and when he goes poo he gets a "spider-man" popsicle - he enjoyed what it did to his tongue.  So far, he has earned THREE popsicles.  Maybe some day he will be potty trained.

Owen also got a package from Grandma Nettie.  He did even want to take off his coat first before he open it.  He really enjoyed the Spider-man candies.

For Valentines Day we made Cinnamon Pin-wheels for Papa - Owen helped..

A little too much time in doors for all of us.

He also got a get well package from Tia - he especially loves the card - it sings a song from Mary Poppins.

A big boy bed

Since Owen was getting very close to out growing the crib-day-bed, we had started looking on craig's list for a loft style bunk bed to go in his room.  We figured it would take a while to find one that was for a good price and would be "resistant" to the destructive power of a three-year-old.  We finally did find one and it turned out to be even better than were hoping for.  We drove to Reston, VA to pick it up and then drove home with the mattress tied to the top of Sammy - on the interstate, it was fun.  We got the whole thing for $150 and the sellers were nice enough to throw in some flannel sheets!!!  We put the bed part together while Owen was sleeping and then Owen helped put the rest of it together.  He really likes to use the socket wrench (it makes a cool noise). Owen loves it and has to climb up and down the ladder a million times each day.  He even spent the WHOLE first night there, no waking up Mama and Papa in the wee hours of the morning!!!

We think it was a success!

So we had to create a photo collage for our adoption application. This is the finished product. Just thought that we would share. And if you know someone that is thinking of placeing a child for adoption, tell them about us.

Converting to the Dark Side

So, we have decided to jump off a cliff with the rest of our family and friends and turn to blogging. We were getting annoyed with babyjellybeans, and since FREE is better than paying all the time.... here we are at blogspot.com. I am sure that the majority of our updates will just be pictures of the boy and stuff. But hopefully this will simplify our lives and make it easier for all of our loyal fans to follow our boring lives.
