From Christmas to New Year's Day

We finally got a little snow this week after being promised LOTS of snow for a while now.  We enjoyed it while we could - had a snow ball fight, made snow angels, and built a small snowman that Owen destroyed.  Owen has really enjoyed playing with his LEGO Ninjago set too - I think it is his favorite gift.  Papa and Owen have also invested some time in one of their new Wii games - LEGO Lord of the Rings!  Owen has been sick for the past few days and is finally feeling a little better today.  Hopefully the rest of us won't get it.

Playing with his LEGO Ninjago Jet.

Hopefully we will all be feeling well for the start of the new year.

Random stuff from December

Owen practicing his teenager skills.

Opening the holiday box from Grandma Nettie - it was filled with wonderful goodies.

The band plays at one basketball game a year and so we went.

Our ward had our Christmas Pot-luck party.  The kids had a great time.  Santa made an appearance at the end.  "Patiently" waiting in line to talk with Santa.

At some point Owen wanted to rearrange his room to have a low bed.  This is what we did.

We wanted to get something for Grandparents that they could not get for themselves.  We decided to make hand print art for them to put on their fridge.

Owen's Christmas Concert

Owen's Christmas concert was great.  He got to wear his new Church clothes to the event, which made him happy because the outfit had a new red shirt.

His first grade class did two songs - O Little Town of Bethlehem and Shout!  Owen did really well.

Oh Little Town of Bethlehem

Shout!

Strutting his stuff coming off the stage.

After the concert - this is a "good" picture!

Uncle Jakey's Wedding

Beki's brother, Jacob, got married on Dec 8 to Susie.  We were all able to go out for the wonderful occasion thanks to a Southwest sale that Beki got on tickets.  We were gone for 5 days, traveled for 2 of those and spent 3 in Rangley with Beki's family.

Grandpa and Owen getting ready to go up to the reception.

Playing Owen's favorite game - tummy bump - with Grandpa.

At Jake & Susie's reception.  Jake got a nice new hat for the occasion and Owen thought it was pretty cool.

What Chris did while we were manning the sign-in table.

Owen's cousin Piper.

Eventually the kids needed to run and play.  So they all headed to the nursery room and had a blast running around and playing all sorts of games.

Grandma & Grandpa White had popcorn!!!

Owen & Piper invented a new game with Great-grandma's recliner.  They LOVED it!!!

We are happy to welcome Susie into our crazy family and glad we were able to be there for such a special event.  Wish we could have stayed longer.

Christmas Day

We had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas Day.  Beki and Owen rolled out of bed a little before 9 am.  Chris had been up for a while already and already had a cozy fire going.  We opened presents from each other and then ate cinnamon pinwheels.  After that we skyped with Grandparents.  Then it was off to the movies.  We have some good friends, the Lumis, that we met up with.  They took Owen and went to see Parental Guidance and Chris and Beki went and watched Les Miserables.  Then we met up for dinner at their grandparents house and enjoyed visiting.  It was a great day.
