Pregnancy Update - 30 Weeks

So Beki is official 30 weeks along as of yesterday.  Everything is going well so far.  There was a slight concern for a little while that the placenta was over the cervix, but it moved as the uterus grew.  She has her OB/GYN appointment this week and then she will visit them every 2 weeks instead of every 4 weeks for a while.  She is feeling ok - mostly tired and huge.  Here are a few pictures of the belly.

25 weeks or so.

30 weeks and counting.

Owen's 7th Birthday

Owen turned 7-years-old on 24 July.  We had a big day.  First we had waffles for breakfast with REAL maple syrup.  Then we all headed to Six Flags for the day with one of his friends Ella.  After Six Flags we went and had ice cream before we dropped Ella off at her house.  Then we came home and Owen opened his birthday cards and his gift from Mom and Papa.

We did a lower key party with friends on the Saturday after Owen's birthday.  Chris made an AWESOME cupcake-cake that was a LEGO Ninjago face and little Ninja's.  With our friends we ate cupcakes, played in the pools, had an epic water balloon fight (Chris filled over 300 balloons that morning = HERO DAD), and opened presents.

Owen got enough money for his birthday and from filling out another behavior chart that he was able to buy some more LEGO Chima Speedorz so his Mom and Papa could race him.

Thank you to all the grandparents, aunts and uncles that sent him a gift.  He WILL be writing Thank you cards soon.

LEGO (R) Camp

Because Owen has an awesome Mom, she was able to find him a LEGO camp to go to for not that much money.  He went from 1-4 pm all week long.  He LOVED it.  Here are a few pictures that Pap took on the last day.  The best part of this is that he now puts together his own LEGO kits when he gets them.  Yeah!!!

Fourth of July Continued

We spend Independence Day with our good friends the Curtis Family.  We had good food and then headed down to the University of Maryland for the College Park Fireworks show (they do it at the university).  We got some good seats and enjoyed ourselves.  Since ALL fireworks are illegal in our county, we had glow sticks instead - huge ones that were swords and such.
