Marching Band

Marching Band has been in full swing for about a month.  This past weekend was Homecoming for Chris' high school.  The band marched in the parade and performed at half time - they made it from the beginning of the show to the end and the crowd thought it was awesome (even if Chris wasn't that impressed).

Owen started soccer this last week.  He had two practices and a game on Saturday.

Beki had been playing with the idea of donating her hair to Locks of Love for a few years, but never had enough guts to actually go through with it.  With the passing of her mother-in-law this year due to cancer, she finally made up her mind.  She was not able to go to the funeral, but wanted to do something that would help her honor Carolee and help others at the same time - just like she would have done.  Today was finally the day when Beki could follow through with her quest.

House Projects

The week of Labor Day, Chris had two days off school (Labor Day and Yom Kippur), so he had the missionaries over and worked on a few different house projects.  They painted the upstairs bathroom with the first coat of paint and they ripped out all the carpet from upstairs.  They did a pretty good job and we are slowly making progress!

Baby Registry

A few of our family members and friends have been asking what they could get for our newest addition, so we finally created a baby registry on amazon.com - RENBERG BABY - search for Beki Renberg.  There is not much there as of now - mostly diapers - and the rest of the items are a little pricey - so we will work on getting more items added as we think of them.

First Day of School - 2nd Grade Edition

Owen headed back to school on Monday 26 August.  Starting the 2nd Grade at Holy Redeemer School in College Park, MD with Mrs. Gardenhour as his teacher.  He has a big class this year - 31 students  - we will see how things go!

A Weekend @ the Beach

We have really good friends that have a family beach house in Bethany Beach, DE.  They come out in the summers and we take the opportunity to go see them and to hang at the beach for a few days.  Here are some pictures of our adventures.
