Easter is one of Chris' favorite holidays. For the past two years we have hosted an egg hunt for our friends. Most of them live in place with no back yard, so they come and use our AWESOME yard for one epic egg hunt. Chris is in charge of all the eggs. Each child has a specific color that they are to find and he hinds all the eggs according to the ability of the finder. We do a BBQ before hand (which about kills the kids because they can see the eggs hidden everyone) and enjoy the afternoon. Our friends the Crawford family, has a tradition of doing a bunata (like a pinata in the shape of a bunny) each year, so they brought it along and shared it with everyone. After the children find eggs, the children get to hide eggs for the daddies - they really like this part and the Mommies were especially evil this year and bought eggs that were the color and texture of rocks, grass, trees, dirt, etc. This year the weather was perfect and we all had a lot of fun.
Eating and scoping out the eggs.
Chris handing out an "empty" egg to each child so they knew what color they were looking for.
Owen got light green.
Time for the bunata!!!!
The Daddy's turn to find eggs.
Owen hanging out in the baby swing.
Grandma Nettie getting some baby and phone time!
Papa found the most eggs of the Daddies (even though we are pretty sure that there are still a few out in our yard) and he won a Nerf football! "Victory is mine!"
